 I'm sorry to pass the buck, but this DAQ issue is above my linux pay grade. It seems that we have embarked on an infinite loop: today, I restarted the ATF model to see if the problem would go away, and now the hFE diagnostic reports NO SYNC again, as it did last time Frank and I were looking at this. daqd also still appears to be restarting every minute or two. At this point last time, we rebooted fb0, and when it came back up it forced a many-hours-long disk check. I have literally almost no intuition for what is going on, and I am humbly asking for help.

One extra clue is that when the system first breaks (i.e. when daqd begins to restart all the time while everything else appears to be running normally), a bit named "DAC0 OUT OFC" towards the right of the diagnostic screen goes RED. It now appears GREEN, though everything else is in shambles.
