Subject: Wind breaker

Following Koji's post on the wind noise affecting input optics, I've drawn up the bench area to scale to see how the main parts will fit once we have the vacuum system.  In the first drawing I've left the input optics where they are at the moment, and overlaid the vacuum system on top of the current blue box.

In the second version I've moved everything up the table to see if we can use the current blue box to house the input optics.  The answer seems to be that it will fit (just) and the blue box is very close to being the same area as the current input optics, albeit with everything rotated and a few things that will need to be moved around.  The only downside I can see to this is that we'll need to rearrange all the optics rather than building a new box around them.  Also, at least a few of the final mirrors will not fit inside the box, so we'd have to stick and extra small box on to cover the final turning mirrors before the beam goes into the input mirror.
