Since the other computer stops working on a regular basis i finally installed and tested all software on the old IBM notebook we had in the lab. Installed Labview 2009 and the Vision package (30-day trial licenses) on that computer  and tested everything. Seems to work fine so far. I went away from the compiled executables as i'm still changing little things from time to time which means that i have to make a new compilation every time. Now having the full development version installed i can modify the code on the exact same computer whenever i want.
