2016-11-07

  • 10:30am, re-aligned optical system to horizontal reference
  • 10:37am, in chamber balanced
  • 10:38am, started roughing pump
  • 10:52am, started turbo pump, pressure was <2 Torr
    • disk got briefly excited when the pump was at ~60 Hz, and again at ~200 Hz,
    • centered QPD with picomotors at 10:54am,49
    • pump at 500 Hz at 10:55am, no more disk excitations.
    • IGM on at 10:55am, disk moved briefly afterwards, not sure if correlated since the IGM controlled is still showing "STARTING".
    • Disk definitely moved at 10:57:40, when the IGM controller started showing pressure.
      IGM switched off at 10:58:45am, disk is not going back!
    • QPD recentered using picomotors.
    • IGM on again at 11:00am, no disk displacement this time.
  • 12:20pm:
    • quiet time before excitation 1162585209
    • excitation
    • quiet time after excitation 1162585348
  • 1:49pm: excitation again, 2kV, quiet time after 1162585348
  • In both the previous excitations the QPD got misaligned at the beginning, resulting in not very good ring-downs
  • Another trial at 1162597014, amplitud 1.5kV. Somebody switched on the light in the lab...
  • pumps stopped at 4:09pm
