The south arm labels were changed from y to x to reflect reality.
So racks, manual disconnects and breakers now have their actual name. The east arm will be changed over tomorrow.

I can not find 1X4 breaker so it will be traced.
The mechanical assembly of RF distribution box is 99% complete. Some of the components may be bolted to the teflon base plate if needed.
All RF cables and DC voltage supply lines have been installed and tested. I removed the terminal block which was acting as a distribution box for the common zero voltage line. Instead I have used the threaded holes in the body of each voltage regulator. This allows us to keep the supply lines twisted right up to the regulator and keeps the wiring neater. The three regulator bodies have been wired together to provide a common zero potential point.
I did a preliminary test to see if everything is functioning. All units are functioning well. The output power levels may need to be adjusted by changing the attenuators.
The 2x frequency multiplier outputs are not neat sine waves. They seem to produce some harmonics, unlike the rest of the components.
I will post the measured power output at each point tomorrow. The RF power meter could not be found in the 40m lab. We suspect that it has found its way back to the PSL lab.

Cheater cables for SRM sus tied up. They were dangling aimlessly on the floor.
Uniblitz mechanical shutter was placed into the beam path of the PSL output with razor beam trap. The output power was 1.39W at 2.08A
It is working from the MEDM screen "old map" C1IOO_Mech_Shutter.adl
The beam of IR for doubling is clipping on bnc cable to green beam transmitted pd.
I moved old POX shutter from ITMY optical table to the south end. MEDM POX mechanical shutter screen is now closing the green beam injection into the Y arm.
I kluged in a 40m long bnc cable that Alberto left on the floor for control. It is labelled POX-sht This is a temporary set up.
Ansell AccuTech 91-300 clean room gloves ONLY in the 40m lab.
Cleaning and preparation must be carried out in these gloves also.
We have one single O-ring on the 40m vacuum envelope. It is on the OOC west side, facing the AP table. This O-ring has to be protected from the force of this
door. There should be 3 shims ~120 degrees apart to carry the full load, so it is not the O-ring that is getting squashed.
This morning I found only one of these shims in place.
New Focus Servo Controller has just arrived. We have 25 days to evaluate this product.
It will have to be shipped back to the vendor on April 4, 2011 the latest in order to get full refund.
Bryan Barr is visiting us from Glasgow for a month. He received 40m specific safety training on Friday.
Solid door, numbered 4 at south west corner of PSL enclosure was replaced by laser protective window.

I strain relieved RF cables labeled 33 MHZ LO and 166 MHZ to EOM at 1X2 This is a temporary setup for the 11 MHZ
The coax N bulkheads connectors are mounted on the plastic front panel now.
Mike Caton of Konecranes inspected and loadtested all 3 of the 40m cranes at max reach trolley positions with 1 ton.
Just for a record. We got 4 new laser pointers (2 greens, 1 blue, and 1 green and red combination). Don't lose them.
They reside in a bucket on the SP table, where IR viewers and sensor cards also reside.
Low power green-red laser pointers are in. High power green, red and blue pointers are confiscated.
The PSL enclosure now have 4 windows on each side. The bottom rail guides on the east side will be replaced by one U-channel for smoother, more gentle sliding.
Door position indicator- interlock switches are not wired yet.
Konecrane representative gave crane operator training in the 40m. Koji has become a qualified, trained crane operator of the 40m lab.
The east side window guides will be replaced by one long U-channel. There will be drilling into 2x2 steel frame. It should be done by 2pm today
This should remove the jerking motion of windows hitting the individual guides.
New right angle PVC, 2 x 2 x 1/4" installed at the AP table to strain relief the 1/4" spiral corrugated RF coaxes.
The anti aliasing box was opened up at the back to accommodate the junction board and the SCSI cable towards the ADC. Aluminum plate was attached to the bottom to hold the strain relief clamp.
Three more hanging junction cards will be replaced in this manner.
The installation went smoothly. There will be no more banging the doors into guides on the east side.

The returning spot diameter on the qpd ~10 mm. In order to reduce the spot size I moved the f 1145 mm lens toward the PRM ~ 25 cm. The spot size was reduced to ~8 mm, 3200 counts.
I'll try to find an other lens tomorrow.

Valera and I installed the the temp sensor and the interface box that Rana fixed. This may help with diagnosing the PSL drift.
I was wrong. Rana did not fix the interface box. I removed the interface box and turned down the HEPA flow from 100 to 20% on the Variac.

The annuloses were closed off for 25 minutes. We are back to VACUUM NORMAL mode.
The TP3 fore line pressure dropped to 44 mTorr at 25 minutes in operation.......9.4mTorr at day 2 with full annulos load
The SRM qpd cable was removed from the BS-table. It's path was changed from 1x4 to ITMY-table following the inner cable tray.
Valera and I placed F 572.7 mm lens ~15 cm away from the ang qpd (in the same mount with ND filter) so that two qpds see different combination of ang and pos motion - there was no lenses prior to this change. The beam diameter is reduced to ~half .
I found that a He-Ne laser which has been used for ETMX_OPLEV was NOT giving the light.
Since I didn't find the switch key for it I have no idea if the laser is simply off or dead.
The dead laser was replaced by new JDSU 1103P of 2.6mW. The return beam is big ~5 mm diameter of 0.3 mW, 1400 counts
Laser diode oplev SRM is working. Qpd matrix values were reset like others.
In 0.44mW, returning 0.1mW, -500 counts.
Aux- rack _1Y2 is just behind 1Y3 It contains Kepco Analoge DC power supplies for +- 5, 15 and 24V
Placing these power supplies away from the LSC rack was an effort to minimize pick up from them.
A cable for IP_POS has been disconnected at the LSC rack, 1Y2. Due to it currently no IP_POS signal shows up on the digital side.
It looks like we disconnected the cable together with some unused cables when we were cleaning up the wiring of the LSC rack.
The cable, a shielded flat-cable, is supposed to send DC power to the QPD and send the signals from the QPD to an interface board on the LSC rack.
I will check how it used to be and reconnect it.

1X1 is strain relieved in the back. I will use similar approach on the rest of the racks .
Steve pulled the top AA filter box from 1X5 which handled some of the suspensions channels. We turned off all the watchdogs before pulling it out, as well as recorded which cables were connected to which inputs.
The case is undergoing a structural modification to have the ADC adapter card which previously was loosely connected via cables, securely attached to the case.
Steve still wants to do some cabling in the rack while the box is out, and will return it this afternoon once he has finished that.
Job is done. Sus damping are back on. Cabling-strain reliefing are not finished yet at 1X5 and 1X4
LSC rack 1Y2 cables are strain relieved and labeled. Spare and/or obsolete cables are laid out on the top of the beam tube and on the outside of the rack.
The POY 110 MHZ demodboard has a very touchy position in the VME crate. Watch out for it! It has to be fixed.
1064 nm transmison were measured of 40m safety glasses as shown . Their performance did not degrade. They are as good as their labels.
ETMY's watch dogs were found tripped. They were restored.
AA filter box was removed and modified at 1Y7 today. The -5V power supply was current limited when I plugged it back in. It was removed for medical attention.
NO PEM channels available! because of this.

Computar 75-12.5 zooms were installed for closer look at the resonant spots. Their alignment and focus needs more loving adjustment.

The PMC is losing power.
While preping 1X4 for installation of c1lsc, we removed some old VME crates that were no longer in use. This freed up lots of space in 1X4. We then moved the SUS binary IO chassis 2 and 3, which plug into the 1X4 cross-connect, from 1X5 into the newly freed space in 1X4. This makes the cable run from these modules to the cross connect much cleaner.
Are we keeping these?
- I was investigating the SUS whitening issue.
- I could not find any suspension which can handle the input whitening switch correctly.
- I went to 1X5 rack and found that both of the two binary output boxes were turned off.
As far as I know they are pulling up the lines which are switched by the open collector outputs.
- I tried to turn on the switch. Immediately I noticed the power lamps did not work. So I need an isolated setup to investigate the situation.
- The cables are labelled. I will ask steve to remove the boxes from the rack.
I shut down damping to the Vertex optics and removed Binary IO Adapter chassy BO0 and BO1
About a week ago I discussed the BO0's power indicator lights with Kiwamu. They were not on or they were blinking on-off.
I put screws into ps connectors in the back, but it did not helped.
