Update: We don't have our BIG screen
There was no light from the projector when I came in this morning. I suspected it might have to do with the lifetime of the bulb. But turning the projector OFF and ON got the projector working....but only for about 10-15 seconds. The display would go OFF after that. I will wait for some additional help to dismount it and check what the problem really is.
Thin wall connector from McMCarr#55275K25 was tested in 150 mW, 1 mm beam size of 1064 nm overnight. It did not show any degradation.
Atm2, Enclosure viewport adaptor is shown in place of the viewport.
Soft gaskit - durumeter hardness 10A - McMCarr#9010K51 was added on the 10" od sufaces of conflat and viewport adaptor to insure being air tight.
The duct connector clamped with soft braided elastic " Velstrech" brand loop.

Office work benches were cleaned up yesterday. Anti-image filter boards were moved to north wall of the control room. Koji's pd- electronics box placed next to water dispenser.
The removed ETMY optical table: TMC 4' x 2' x 4" with Aluminum enclosure was placed on table in the east arm.
The 3 Panasonic Ceramic Kits Books, 1206 NPO, SMT are well stocked. The 4 th one needs to be refilled at some values.
I labeled them on the cover for fast access. See Atm1
The Metalized Polyester Film Book with through holes mount are in good shape also. Atm2

I'm not sure what's going on today but we're seeing ~80% packet loss on the 40MARS wireless network. This is obviously causing big problems for all of our wirelessly connected machines. The wired network seems to be fine.
I've tried power cycling the wireless router but it didn't seem to help. Not sure what's going on, or how it got this way. Investigating...
I'm still seeing some problems with this - some laptops are losing and not recovering any connection. What's to be done next? New router?
We had the same problem yesterday. However the Vacuum Dedicated laptop worked with fewer disconnects. Christian is coming over this after noon to look at this issue.
This happened a few weeks ago and it recovered misteriously. Jamie did not understand it.
Particle counts were measured inside the PSL enclosure at 40VAC variac setting.
Directly under HEPAs, on the east half of the optical table : 0.3 micron 20 particles / cu ft, 0.5 micron 0 p / cu ft, 0.7 micron 0 p / cu /ft
Away from the HEPAs, on the west edge of the op table: 0.3 micron 960 particles / cu ft, 0.5 micron 50 p / cu ft, 0.7 micron 20 p / cu ft
We may want to increase the RPM a little bit.
Checked our counters against recently calibrated Met One GT-526:
#1 is right on, #2 measured 25% less (it will go for calibration)
Flow bench at the south end : zero particle for all 3 sizes
IOO chamber particle logging measures 0.5 and 1 micron. Chamber opening limit is set to 10,000 particles max of 0.5 micron
At 10,000 p of 0.5 micron means ~100,000 - 180,000 p of 0.3 micron
We may have to lower the limit.
Mike and Christian brought over a Mac laptop for surf Alex.
They power cycled the wireless router of 40Marsh and labtops are working. Seeing 75-80% signals on all 3 Dell lab top sisters at both end of the lab
I found the south end emergency doors not latched completely. There was a ~ 3/8" vertical gap from top to bottom.
Please pull or push doors harder if they not catch fully.

Single mode fiber 50m long is layed out into cable tray that is attached to the beam tube of the Y arm.
It goes from ETMY to PSL enclosure. It is protected at both ends with " clear- pvc, slit corrugated loom tubing " 1.5" ID
The fiber is not protected between 1Y1 and 1Y4

Installed 0.5" ID 10 ft long protective tubing at the PSL end of the ETMY fiber this morning. Here I had to cable tie a bunch of cables at the east side of the PSL enclosure.
They were hanging off the table blocking space were the sliding doors move.
At the ETMX end of the X-arm fiber received the same protective tubing.
ETMY optical table top was grounded to the ETMY chamber through 1 Mohms this morning. I also strain releifed relieved a few cables that were pulling on components directly.
There are 4 oscilloscopes left on the AP optical table top.... It's only 25 lbs... Do not leave anything on the optical table tops!

The 40m IFO has reached atmospher in 5 hours. It is ready to open chamber condition. The RGA is pumped with the maglev.
P1 pirani gauge is contact dependent as you see it on the linear plot It will be replaced during this vent.
The venting speed was 2-4 Torr / min
Atm2 shows how the BS is sensing the venting air cylinder changes.
The 4th cylinder of instrument grade air bump is overlapping with our janitor working at the BS chamber.
We will open the BS and ITMY doors first thing tomorrow morning. I plan to try to be in around 9 am. The first order of business will be to flip the folding mirrors that are not currently flipped (SR2, SR3, PR3).

We have been using Air Liquide Instrument Grade Air for venting the 40m vacuum envelope. It is no longer available.
The replacement is Alphagas 1, total hydrocarbon <0.1% ppm

We missed to check that we had the green transmitted to the PSL after flipping the SRC and PRC folding mirrors.
There is no green transmission reaching the PSL even after locking the arms to green.
We should fix this tomorrow. The BS heavy door should come off.

Inner jam nuts of AC bellow were torqued to 45 ft/lbs and door nuts were check on opened chambers.
Annulos were roughed down to 500 mTorr
Oplev servos turned off, PSL and green shutters closed before pumpdown started
IFO P1=1mT PSL shutter is opened
Cold cathode gauge CC1 -h (horizontal) just coming on 9.2e-5 Torr
P2 is the fore line pressure of the maglev. One can see the 4 Torr load during switching over to turbo pumping.
CC4 5e-9 Torr is the performance of the maglev pumping on the RGA only.
The annuloses are not pumped now. They are closed off to see how much outgassing plus leak they have.
Configuration: vacuum normal, annuloses not pumped
Precondition: 14 days at atm, IOO chamber north door was taken off as a new entrance, the ETMX chamber was not opened.
What is new in the vacuum system: new P1 pirani gauge, gold plated clean allen wrench and ..........what else was dropped?
Note: the wireless laptop did not fail once all day yesterday. I want to give credit to the person who is responsible for this.
TP2's fore line - dry pump replaced at performance level 600 mTorr after 10,377 hrs of continuous operation.
Where are the foreline pressure gauges? These values are not on the vac.medm screen.
The new tip seal dry pump lowered the small turbo foreline pressure 10x
TP2fl after 2 day of pumping 65mTorr
1, Vacuum envelope grounds must be connected all times! After door removal reconnect both cables immediately.
2, The crane folding had a new issue of getting cut as picture shows.
3, Too much oplev light is scattered. This picture was taken just before we put on the heavy door.
4, We were unprepared to hold the smaller side chamber door 29" od of the IOC
5, Silicon bronze 1/2-13 nuts for chamber doors will be replaced. They are not smooth turning.
Sorrensen ps ouput of +15V at rack 1X9 was current limited to 10.3V @ 2A
Increased threshold to 2.1A and the voltage is up to 14.7V
Our fluorecent lights became obsolete. We'll have change fixtures over to some more energy efficient one. Do you have any recommendation regarding to less noise performer unit?
We may go this direction of LED fluorecent lamps ?

We removed Wilcoxon Accelerometer PS and Amplifier unit under the BS optical tabel yesterday. The six cabels going to DAQ were labeled and left in place. Gain setting were 100, except channel 3 was 10.
The ~ 40 m long 2 sets of 3 cables were very happy to get their kinks out. Especially the set going just south of ITMX optical table.
We have to take better care of these cables! Your data will be useless this way.
Apparently all of the ION pump valves (VIPEE, VIPEV, VIPSV, VIPSE) opened, which vented the main volume up to 62 mTorr. All of the annulus valves (VAVSE, VAVSV, VAVBS, VAVEV, VAVEE) also appeared to be open. One of the roughing pumps was also turned on. Other stuff we didn't notice? Bad.
Several of the suspensions were kicked pretty hard (600+ mV on some sensors) as a result of this quick vent wind. All of the suspensions are damped now, so it doesn't look like we suffered any damage to suspensions.
CLOSE CALL on the vacuum system:
Jamie and I disabled V1, VM2 and VM3 gate valves by disconnecting their 120V solenoid actuator before the swap of the VME crate.
The vacuum controller unexpectedly lost control over the swap as Jamie described it. We were lucky not to do any damage! The ion pumps were cold and clean. We have not used them for years so their outgassing possibly accumulated to reach ~10-50 Torr
I disconnected_ immobilized and labelled the following 6 valves: the 4 large ion pump gate valves and VC1, VC2 of the cryo pump. Note: the valves on the cryo pump stayed closed. It is crucial that a warm cry pump is kept closed!
This will not allow the same thing to happen again and protect the IFO from warm cryo contamination.
The down side of this that the computer can not identify vacuum states any longer.
This vacuum system badly needs an upgrade. I will make a list.
While I was doing the oil change of the roughing pumps I accidentally touched the 24 V adjustment knob on the power supply.
All valve closed to default condition. I realized that the current indicator was red at 0.2A and the voltage fluctuated from 3-13V
Increased current limiter to 0.4A and set voltage to 24V I think this was the reason for the caos of valve switching during the VME swap.
Based on the facts above I reconnected VC1 and VC2 valves. State recognition is working. Ion pumps are turned off and their gate valves are disabled.
We learned that even with closed off gate valves while at atmosphere ion pumps outgass hydrocarbons at 1e-6 Torr level. We have not used them for this reason in the passed 9 rears.
I need help with implementing V1 interlock triggered by Maglev failure signal and-or P2 pressure.
MEDM screen agrees with vacuum rack signs.

Pick-off mirror 2" replaced by 1" one. Laseroptik HR 532nm, incident angle 30-45 degrees, AR 532 nm
Green REFL PD moved to 4" close to pick-off mirror. Pd being close to pick-off does not separate multiple reflections on it. I'll replace Laseroptic mirror with Al one. It is not easy to find.
Hole cut into side wall for doubler oven cable to exit.
Beam trap for Pd refl is in place. Cabeling is ti·died up.
Laseroptic 1" mirror is replaced by Al 1" mirror. Problem remains the same. This diffraction patter has to be coming from the Faraday.
