I'm planning to remove the ETMY optical table enclosure and move it over to CES Shop 8am Thursday morning.
We'll install spring loaded lathes, hooks and quick release pins.
The bridge will be reinforced with steel plate to support release pins on posts.
There will be an other cut out for cable feedtrough as it is shown on elog #8472
Let me know if this timing does not fit your work. |

The bridge support posts were shimmed today. Surgical tubing 402R - o - rings were glued togeather with " instant krazy glue "
Atm2 Carey CH-3540 latches are compressed ~2.5 mm in the clamped position.
Atm3 is showing the captured quick release pin in the steel reinforced bridge that is supported by the post. It works great. The post screw is sealed by o-ring. The quick-pin is sealed by an epoxy attached copper cap.
Atm4 Enclosure is on it's back. Bottom o-ring can be seen. The hole reinforced bridge structure is visible.
Now I'm working on the window connection to the chamber. I'm very close leak checking this box.
In case of leaking around the top tubing seals we have two options:
a, cut down on the cover rim by 0.040" or b, increase tubing diameter |

Update: We don't have our BIG screen
There was no light from the projector when I came in this morning. I suspected it might have to do with the lifetime of the bulb. But turning the projector OFF and ON got the projector working....but only for about 10-15 seconds. The display would go OFF after that. I will wait for some additional help to dismount it and check what the problem really is.

Atm2, Enclosure viewport adaptor is shown in place of the viewport.
Soft gaskit - durumeter hardness 10A - McMCarr#9010K51 was added on the 10" od sufaces of conflat and viewport adaptor to insure being air tight.

Quote: |
I'm not sure what's going on today but we're seeing ~80% packet loss on the 40MARS wireless network. This is obviously causing big problems for all of our wirelessly connected machines. The wired network seems to be fine.
I've tried power cycling the wireless router but it didn't seem to help. Not sure what's going on, or how it got this way. Investigating...
|
I'm still seeing some problems with this - some laptops are losing and not recovering any connection. What's to be done next? New router?

We had the same problem yesterday. However the Vacuum Dedicated laptop worked with fewer disconnects. Christian is coming over this after noon to look at this issue.
This happened a few weeks ago and it recovered misteriously. Jamie did not understand it. |

Steve | Update | PEM | PSL enclosure particle counts |
Particle counts were measured inside the PSL enclosure at 40VAC variac setting.
Directly under HEPAs, on the east half of the optical table : 0.3 micron 20 particles / cu ft, 0.5 micron 0 p / cu ft, 0.7 micron 0 p / cu /ft
Away from the HEPAs, on the west edge of the op table: 0.3 micron 960 particles / cu ft, 0.5 micron 50 p / cu ft, 0.7 micron 20 p / cu ft
We may want to increase the RPM a little bit.
Checked our counters against recently calibrated Met One GT-526:
#1 is right on, #2 measured 25% less (it will go for calibration)
Flow bench at the south end : zero particle for all 3 sizes
IOO chamber particle logging measures 0.5 and 1 micron. Chamber opening limit is set to 10,000 particles max of 0.5 micron
At 10,000 p of 0.5 micron means ~100,000 - 180,000 p of 0.3 micron
We may have to lower the limit. |

Air Liquide > ALPHAGAZ™ Specifications

ALPHAGAZ™ Specifications
ALPHAGAZ™ range of Pure Gases for Analysis: two purity levels tailored to cover all your analytical needs.
Because each analytical application is sensitive to critical impurities that can affect your results, tests in our research center and analyzer manufacturers' studies confirm that the main impurities are moisture, oxygen and hydrocarbons.
Based on these critical impurities, Air Liquide has developed ALPHAGAZ™ brand with a Maximum Impurity Level (H2O, O2, CnHm).
- The Maximum Impurity Level is the same across the whole product range. This constitutes a guarantee of quality with regard to major critical impurities and contamination tracers. ALPHAGAZ™ 2 offers an even greater guarantee in terms of purity (CO, CO2, H2).
- The Minimum Total Purity is a prerequisite for product quality, but we do not stop there: Air Liquide selects and controls its gas sources by defining specifications regarding impurities that are critical for your analysis or application.

Eric and Steve,
We removed Wilcoxon Accelerometer PS and Amplifier unit under the BS optical tabel yesterday. The six cabels going to DAQ were labeled and left in place. Gain setting were 100, except channel 3 was 10.
The ~ 40 m long 2 sets of 3 cables were very happy to get their kinks out. Especially the set going just south of ITMX optical table.
We have to take better care of these cables! Your data will be useless this way. |
