In order to reduce the probability of
crashing due to unavailability of data, I edited
so that it displays data from
6 minutes in the past
, rather than 3. After compiling, this version
ran for ~8 hours without crashing
. I've killed the process now because
it seems to interfere with alignment scripts that use
, causing "
DATA RECEIVING ERROR 4608
" messages. These don't cause
to crash, but so many of them are spit out that the scripts don't work very well. I guess running DMF constantly is just making the framebuilder work too hard with disk access. In the near term, we can maybe work around this by having DMF programs check the AutoDithering bit of the IFO state vector, and just not try to get data when we're running these sorts of scripts.
